Description
First Health Care is a leading provider of Personal Home Care, Supplemental Staffing, Rehabilitation Services and Corporate Wellness Programs to clients throughout Toronto and the GTA. We are a fully accredited health care provider that delivers exceptional services according to national standards set by Accreditation Canada.
Experience
We are hiring casual certified Personal Support Workers to provide quality patient care within Toronto and GTA hospitals.
You can work up to FULL-TIME HOURS
You MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR’S EXPERIENCE as Personal Support Worker since graduating from a recognized certificate program
Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated experience working floor duty assignments in related facilities
All PSWs must be capable of performing both observer and floor duty assignments under the direct supervision of hospital leadership teams.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Personal Support Worker certificate (or equivalent)
Current standard First Aid/CPR
Additional certification is preferred including Crisis Prevention Intervention, Safe Food Handling and N95 Mask Fit, etc.
Compensation
Progressive Pay starting at $11.50 per hour (including 4% vacation plus Public Holiday Pay, Premium Pay and Overtime); access to discounts towards products and services through our Employee Plus & Loyalty Programs. Full-time contract assignments (including access to health and dental benefits) available to those employees demonstrating excellent skills, flexibility and performance.
Other info
All staff are required to provide current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance and Medical Clearance prior to working assignments; complete New Hire Health & Safety Training, and wear a First Health Care uniform and Photo Identification at all times. All employees are encouraged to obtain annual Flu Shots and maintain current N95 Mask Fit Certification to work hospital assignments over the Flu Season – December 2014 to April 2015.
