Full-Time Personal support worker in Ottawa
Job Description
“Alternacare is currently recruiting Personal Support Workers to work in the Orleans and Vanier area for home support and community care.
Alternacare Personal Support Workers will assist our clients in preserving their regular routines and independence in the community by assisting individuals with personal care and light housekeeping chores.
Hours of Work: flexible hours/regular ongoing hours
Rate of Pay: $16 per hour
Required Qualifications and Documentation:
– PSW certificate/diploma – mandatory
– 1 year of experience working in a community-based environment
– Bilingualism (English/French) – an asset
– Valid police records check (vulnerable sector)
– Valid and current CPR
– Up-to-date immunizations (TB, hep B, MMR, varicella, tetanus/diphtheria)
– Ability to work independently
– Advanced PSW skills performing delegated acts in a community setting
– Knowledge of cleaning in a household environment
– Access to a vehicle
