Full-Time Personal Support Worker
Job Description
Position Summary The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide individualized
care that is sensitive to the clients’ unique needs, providing
assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) and
Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s) through a client
specific assignment working under the direction of and in
collaboration with a regulated health care professional. Care will
take place in the community, within a client’s home.
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide individualized

Qualifications Completion of the PSW Certification Program
Current First Aid and CPR
Current driver’s license and own vehicle (may be required)

Experience Working with the elderly, acutely ill, chronically or palliative
clients preferred

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English,

ADLs including meal preparation and home management

the client and family
• Engage in interactive or social activities with the clients
including games and reading
Reporting on Client Status • Provide clear, timely communication to the supervisor and other appropriate Health Care team members regarding changes to or concerns of the client’s status, interventions or activities
