Job Description
“Care4one is currently seeking a Full time evening/night Care Attendant for a male quadriplegic, in a private home setting in NW Regina. The position is currently shared, and wage is dependent upon experience. This position would work well for a mature adult looking to experience gainful knowledge in the medical field. The hours are 19:00-21:00 daily and 22:30-6:00 a.m. Experience is considered an asset, but not required, as specific training is provided. The successful candidate will possess a willingness to learn, exceptional fluency in both written and oral English, and exude a positive, self-motivated personality. Reliability and dependability are imperative. We require the candidate to be a Canadian citizen, bondable, and legally entitled to work in Canada. Pay dates are the 15th and las6t day of each month, and all hours worked will need to be recorded at the end of each shift. A minimum of 2 months is required for all scheduled vacation, and notification of illness and/or inability to work a scheduled shift is required as soon as possible.
Duties include:
1.Get out clothes for the next day.
2.Assist with dressing and undressing.
3.Transfer, using ceiling track, between bed, wheelchair and commode.
4.Positioning in bed.
5.Help with shower, brushing teeth and brushing hair.
6.Assist with self catheterization.
7.Occasionally may need to administer suppository.
8.Meal preparation.
9.Other personal care & light household duties as directed.
11.Be respectful of the client and the family members.
