Job Summary:
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an individual to join The Northern Alberta Renal Program (NARP) as a Patient Care Manager (PCM). The NARP provides renal replacement therapies and prevention measures to patients in Central and Northern Alberta, as well as parts of the NWT, Saskatchewan and BC. The NARP is constantly growing and adapting to ensure quality service is provided to this population of patients, which is growing at approximately 6% per year. The successful candidate will have many opportunities to be a part of exciting new initiatives underway in this program.
The successful candidate needs to be able to conceptualize new or unique ways of doing business and must also be able to operationalize these ideas in a timely fashion while respecting the principles of working in a team. The PCM must have a proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships, demonstrated flexibility and an ability to manage change. The PCM reports to the Director of the NARP and works within a team. The successful candidate must be dynamic, innovative and a team player.
Qualifications:
– 3-5 years management experience in a healthcare environment.
– Experience in a large acute care hospital is a definite asset.
– Key competencies include the ability to manage, delegate and prioritize work effectively, ability to lead teams and promote collaboration among team members, commitment to identifying and implementing necessary changes and demonstrating creativity and innovation.
– Enrollment in or completion of a Baccalaureate in a clinical health care or related field is required.
– Masters is an asset.
– Must be eligible for registration with the appropriate professional association.
– The appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.
