Job Summary:
To perform the duties of a Housekeeping Aide by providing a clean, safe and pleasant environment for hospital patients, staff and visitors within AHS.
Qualifications:
Grade 10 education or equivalent required.
Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time. Knowledge of hospital equipment and procedures is an asset. Must be fluent in English. Good communication, interpersonal skills, auditory acuity; manual and finger dexterity; motor coordination a necessity.
Must be capable of walking and/or standing for long periods of time. Must be capable of frequently lifting 22.5kg. Must be capable of pushing/pulling heavy carts up to and occasionally exceeding 225 kg. Good interpersonal skills required. Basic computer skills an asset. Previous experience in Health Care cleaning an asset.
