Job Summary:
The Nursing Attendant provides patient care services as an unregulated worker under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
The Nursing Attendant assists with the delivery of quality patient care in the area by feeding patients, assisting with lifting and transferring patients, gathering and maintaining equipment, and restocking supplies as necessary. Must be able to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
– Nursing Attendant education course required.
– Acute care hospital experience preferred.
– Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision.
– Must be able to work with and communicate effectively with team members.
– Required to porter patients, must have the physical ability to lift, push, and pull.
– Current Basic Life Support (BCLS-HCP) – Healthcare Provider certification required.
