Job Summary:
Provides assistance in the delivery of patient care and is generally responsible for restocking of supplies to specific areas in the Emergency department.
Qualifications:
– Grade XII education required.
– Current BLS certification required.
– Successful completion of Nursing Attendant/Patient Care Assistant course or equivalent experience preferred.
– Recent Emergency experience preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to participate on CODE Team as BLS certified responder required.
– Demonstrated knowledge of emergency workflow, processes and supplies preferred.
– Demonstrated knowledge of hospital equipment and supplies required.
– Demonstrated ability to provide basic patient care and comfort required.
– Demonstrated self-direction within the scope and duties of the job required.
– Basic computer skills are an asset.
