Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations of EEHC Family & Urgent Care Clinics the Service Worker I provides the patient with a clean and comfortable environment by using sound judgment in prioritizing and executing general housekeeping duties within the clinic. Duties include but are not limited to: orientation of new Service Worker I staff members, linen and waste management, transporting equipment, stocking, ordering supplies, and cleaning examination and treatment rooms. The Service Worker I is also responsible for assisting staff & patients with general requests and other related duties as assigned by the Manager or Charge Nurse. The Service Worker I position will have a focus on the maintenance, stocking, PARs, reporting dysfunctional equipment and be a liaison to our equipment processing department to maintain, receive and effectively document and log equipment concerns and issues. This position requires the ability to push, pull, lift, bend,and climb flights of stairs.
Qualifications:
– Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
– Experience working in medical equipment processing preferred. Ability to familiarize yourself with different supplies and equipment along with troubleshooting
– Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and written required
– Proficiency with email, Excel and Word required
– Previous experience in dealing with sterile medical products and setting up sterile fields is preferred
– The ability to function independently as well as in a team setting is necessary
– The successful incumbent will have excellent organizational and problem solving skills and will be highly motivated and self directed
