Part-Time PSW needed for rural Lanark Highlands Ontario
Job Description
Female PSW needed for rural Lanark Highlands
I am physically disabled with rheumatoid arthritis and chemical injury. I am on the Ontario government’s Independent Living program. This program enables me to hire my own attendant care worker.
Due to my Chemical Injury, the person must be a non-smoker, and must be willing to come to work unscented. (I train you to make the transition from scented to unscented and I provide you with the products you will need to make this transition – most people really like the products.) Since hair dye is scented, the worker must have no hair dye or hair highlights in her hair.

The duties include: personal care (assistance in and out of bathtub, washing hair, skin care, and so on), house cleaning, cooking, laundry, exercise assistance to increase muscle strength and range of motion, assistance in going outside for a walk, and so on.
The job is 22 hours/week; Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 or 1:30 pm; the wage is $16.65/hour after probation, plus transportation allowance. (The program provides $2.50/day travel allowance. However, since that is usually not adequate, I privately pay an amount mutually agreed with the worker.) I live in Flower Station, which is a rural hamlet in the Township of Lanark Highlands, Ontario.
